About me

Anna and Eric Hemsworth
My Story
Taino-spiral-bold-400w.png

I'm a curly-haired, Puerto Rican fiber arts designer and teacher from New Jersey working with fiber to create knit, crochet, quilting, and hand embroidery designs tied to the stories of our lives.  I truly believe design and creativity breath energy into every day of your life, and the rising tide lifts all boats.

I am blessed with:

  • an amazing husband - Eric.

  • 2 amazing children - Samantha & Eric Jr.

  • more hobbies than any one person should have.

  • a thriving career in Corporate America.

  • a fibers arts small business - Stitch Adventure.

And now I've started publishing my designs.

My Creative Core

My Training

I am a firm believer continuous learning. For me this means, continually pursuing anything sparking my creative spirit. Music, writing, and fiber arts tend to take up most of my time.  Even my corporate endeavors work best when my creative side is unleashed.

I encourage everyone to find what they love to do and let it fill your cup.

So, how do I fill my cup?  I have been crocheting since my abuelita taught me how when I was 6 or 7.  My Titi Anabel taught me how to sew around the same time.  I learned to weave not too long after that.  My parents bought me the best little weaving set.  They also bought me a cute little sewing machine.

Since then I've taught myself how to knit, free motion quilt, hand quilt, spin yarn, dye yarn, hand embroider, cross stitch, and just about anything else you can think of.
